About

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Having completed a BA(Hons) degree in Textiles at Goldsmiths university of London, I am continuing to create art informed by textiles to produce virtual, physical, electronic and conceptual work. I have used digital imaging technologies to produce screens, prints, projections and light sensitive reactions. The virtual and the physical communicating space and experience. Speed and light leaving traces of themsleves as patterns that co-exist with the repititions of rhythm and sound.

"Lasting impressions, impressions only differ slightly from one-another, impressions which take regular and habitual course and show regular habitual contrasts - all these use up less consciousness than does the rapid crowding of changing images, the sharp discontinuity in the grasp of a single glance, and the unexpectedness of onrushing impressions." (George Simmel - Art and Theory : The metropolis and mental life)

Transport, speed, light, movement, screens, non-place, changing relations of space, time, surveillance, simultaneity and interconnectedness are all subject matters I investigate within my work. "Roads do not defy definition, rather they allow for double vision and hybrid identities." (Diana Drummond - Goldsmiths University)

Within digitisation, information is constantly being changed and with this, identities are misshapen and transformed. We now exists in the non-space of the digital realm as well as within the dimensions of time and space.
